PA Resources Council in cooperation with Allegheny County, The City of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Chapter of PA Cleanways is implementing a "Take The Pledge Not To Litter Campaign" throughout the county. The campaign utilizes a three-prong approach:

  • A public awareness campaign that targets the general public through radio, TV and print media outreach, along with a presence at special events
  • In school education programs and assemblies, targeting school age youth, stressing the importance of not littering
  • Partnerships with community groups and other environmental organizations to help organize clean-ups, adoptions and special events in area neighborhoods
